For entry into the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, a visa can be obtained by the following methods: Via the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Representative Office Via online for an eVisa (a tourist visa that is also applicable for Umrah) Generally, to perform Umrah, travellers must apply for either an Umrah Visa or an eVisa. In the case where travellers perform Umrah through an Umrah agent, the Visa application will be done by the agent for an Umrah Visa. For Umrah DIY or independent traveller, a tourist eVisa that also applicable for performing of Umrah can be applied online.

Information on Umrah visa If a traveller performs Umrah through a package by Umrah agent, an Umrah Visa will be applied by the agent. The Umrah Visa is valid for 2 weeks and must not exceed the last day of Ramadan.

A completed original application form A recent passport-sized full-face view photo in colour with white background attached with the application form Passport validity of at least 6 months from the date of submission of application form Confirmed non-refundable airline ticket and departure from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia must be within 2 weeks from date of entry A vaccination certificate against Meningococcal Meningitis issued not more than 3 years and not less than 10 days prior to entry into the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and must be valid for 3 years Travellers are to check with their Umrah agent on the latest requirement.

The application for eVisa can be done  here . The eVisa is valid for 1 year and for multiple entry with a maximum allowed stay of up to 90 days. The eVisa covers tourism activities and Umrah (except during the period of Hajj) but not activities such as study or work.

Minimum age of applicant is 18 years old Underaged applicants require an individual above 18 years old to act as their guardian Applicant must have a valid passport from a permitted country The passport validity must be at least 6 months from the date of entry into the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has announced that women are now allowed to perform Umrah without a male guardian or Mahram to ease the journey process in performing Umrah. Hence, women applicants are no longer required to put their Mahram in the application for Umrah purposes.
