Du'a for Travel

عَنْ جَابِرٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ كُنَّا إِذَا صَعِدْنَا كَبَّرْنَا وَإِذَا تَصَوَّبْنَا سَبَّحْنَا “Whenever we went up a place we would say Takbir (ﷲ أكبر) , and whenever we went down we would say,Subhanallah (سُبْحَانَ ٱللَّٰه).” Bukhari (2772)

Abu Hurairah [may Allah be pleased with him] narrated : that the Messenger of Allah said: “Three supplications are responded to: The supplication of the oppressed, the supplication of the traveler, and the supplication of the parent against his child” Riwayat at Tirmidzi (3370)

When anyone lands at a place, and then says:" I seek refuge in the Perfect Word of Allah from the evil of what He has created," nothing would harm him until he marches from that stopping place. Muslim (2708)

O Allah, Lord of the seven heavens and all they overshadow, Lord of the seven worlds and all they uphold, Lord of the devils and all they lead astray, Lord of the winds and all they scatter. I ask You for the goodness of this town, and for the goodness of its people, and for the goodness it contains. I seek refuge in You from its evil, from the evil of its people, and from the evil it contains.. ” an Nasai (al Khubraa IV 201)

I entrust to Allah your religion, and your trusts, and the last of your deeds” al-Tirmizi (3443)

ِبِسْمِ ﷲِ تَوَكَّلْتُ عَلَى ﷲِ، لَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِـﷲ “In the Name of Allah, I place my trust in Allah, there is no might or power except by Allah” al-Tirmizi (3426) اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّا نَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ أَنْ نَزِلَّ أَوْنَضِلَّ أَوْنَظْلِمَ أَوْنُظْلَمَ أَوْنَجْهَلَ أَوْيُجْهَلَ عَلَيْنَا “Allah! We seek refuge in You from slipping unintentionally or becoming misguided, or committing oppression or being oppressed, or acting ignorantly or being treated ignorantly” al-Tirmizi (3349)

ﷲ أكبر ﷲ أكبر ﷲ أكبر سُبْحَانَ الَّذِي سَخَّرَ لَنَا هَذَا، وَمَا كُنَّا لَهُ مُقْرِنِينَ، وَإِنَّا إِلَى رَبِّنَا لَمُنْقَلِبُونَ، اللهُمَّ إِنَّا نَسْأَلُكَ فِي سَفَرِنَا هَذَا الْبِرَّ وَالتَّقْوَى، وَمِنَ الْعَمَلِ مَا تَرْضَى، اللهُمَّ هَوِّنْ عَلَيْنَا سَفَرَنَا هَذَا، وَاطْوِ عَنَّا بُعْدَهُ، اللهُمَّ أَنْتَ الصَّاحِبُ فِي السَّفَرِ، وَالْخَلِيفَةُ فِي الْأَهْلِ، اللهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ وَعْثَاءِ السَّفَرِ، وَكَآبَةِ الْمَنْظَرِ، وَسُوءِ الْمُنْقَلَبِ فِي الْمَالِ وَالْأَهْل “Hallowed is He Who subdued for us this (ride) and we were not ourselves powerful enough to use It as a ride, and we are going to return to our Lord. O Allah, we seek virtue and piety from Thee in this journey of ours and the act which pleaseth Thee. O Allah, lighten this journey of ours, and make its distance easy for us. O Allah, Thou art (our) companion during the journey, and guardian of (our) family. O Allah, I seek refuge with Thee from hardships of the journey, gloominess of the sights, and finding of evil changes in property and family.” Muslim (1342)

Du'a for Umrah and Hajj

لَبَّيْكَ اللَّهُمَّ لَبَّيْكَ، لَبَّيْكَ لاَ شَرِيْكَ لَكَ لَبَّيْكَ، إِنَّ الْحَمْدَ وَالنِّعْمَةَ لَكَ وَالْمُلْكَ لاَ شَرِيْكَ لَكَ “I am here at Your service. O Allah, I am here at Your service. I am here at Your service. You have no partner, I am here at Your service. Surely the praise and blessings are Yours and dominion. You have no partner.” (Muslim 841.)

النَّبِيُّ صلى ﷲ عليه وسلم بِالْبَيْتِ عَلَى بَعِيرٍ، كُلَّمَا أَتَى الرُّكْنَ أَشَارَ إِلَيْهِ بِشَىْءٍ كَانَ عِنْدَهُ وَكَبَّرَ‏.‏‏ “The Prophet s.a.w performed Tawaf of the Ka`ba riding a camel, and every time he came in front of the Corner (having the Black Stone), he pointed towards it with something he had with him and said Takbir. (Bukhari 1613)

I heard the Messenger of Allah s.a.w say between the two corners: O Allah, bring us a blessing in this world and a blessing in the next and guard us from punishment of Hell. (Abu Dawud 1892)

Whenever the Prophet s.a.w approached Mount Safa, he would recite: Surely Safa and Marwah are among the signs of Allah. I begin by that which Allah began. He began (his Sa'y) at Mount Safa climbing it until he could see the House. He then faced the Qiblah repeating the words: There is none worthy of worship but Allah, and Allah is the Most Great. Then he said: None has the right to be worshipped but Allah alone, Who has no partner, His is the dominion and His is the praise, and He is Able to do all things. None has the right to be worshipped but Allah alone, He fulfilled His Promise, He aided His slave, and He alone defeated Confederates. Then he would ask Allah for what he liked, repeating the same thing like this three times. He did at Mount Marwah as he did at Mount Safa. Muslim 2242

The Prophet s.a.w said: The best invocation is that of the Day of Arafat, and the best that anyone can say is what I and the Prophets before me have said: “None has the right to be worshipped but Allah Alone, Who has no partner. His is the dominion and His is the praise, and He is Able to do all things.” (At Tirmidhi 3509)

The Prophet s.a.w rode his camel, Al-Qaswa', until he reached the sacred area (Al-Mash'aril-Haraam). Then he faced the Qiblah and invoked Allah, and repeatedly said the words: Allaahu 'Akbar (Allah is the Most Great), Allaahu 'Ahad (Allah is One) and Laa 'ilaaha 'illallaah (There is none worthy of worship but Allah). He remained stationary until the sky became yellow with the dawn, and then pressed on before sunrise.

Ibn `Umar used to do Rami of the Jamrat-ud-Dunya (the Jamra near to the Khaif mosque) with seven small stones and used to recite Takbir on throwing every pebble. He then would go ahead till he reached the level ground where he would stand facing the Qibla for a long time to invoke (Allah) while raising his hands (while invoking). Then he would do Rami of the Jamrat-ul-Wusta (middle Jamra) and then he would go to the left towards the middle ground, where he would stand facing the Qibla. He would remain standing there for a long period to invoke (Allah) while raising his hands, and would stand there for a long period. Then he would do Rami of the Jamrat-ul-Aqaba from the middle of the valley, but he would not stay by it, and then he would leave and say, "I saw the Prophet s.a.w doing like this."
